9  Security

When you purchase items from our website and pay with a credit or debit card your details will be directed to an external payment processor (Woocommerce Payments / Stripe) who will authorise your transaction. Icoteq Ltd does not receive the card details entered on to this page.

10  Marketing

You have control over the marketing communications and advertising you receive from us.

We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any company outside of Icoteq Ltd for marketing purposes.

Opting out. You can ask us or third parties to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by following the opt out links on any marketing message sent to you or by contacting us at any time.

Where you opt out of receiving these marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data provided to us as a result of a service purchase or other transactions.

11  Cookies

This website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file stored in your computer containing text data. We use cookies for certain functions to improve the usability of the website. These cookies do not contain any personal information about you however, enabling cookies in your web browser is necessary if you wish your selections to be remembered for future visits on the same computer. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of this website may become inaccessible or not function properly.

12  Change of purpose

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. 13  Disclosures of your personal data

We may have to share your personal data with external third parties set out below for the purposes set out in the Section 8.  This can include government agencies, shipping companies, IT service providing companies and professional services companies.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

14  Data retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

15  Use of the TagRanger® App

The TagRanger® App does not normally share any of your data.  If the App crashes you will have the option to agree to send a log of the crash to us.  The crash log may contain information about your smartphone device, your App configuration settings including the settings of your Tag and Finder devices and any data sent by your Tag and Finder devices in the session leading up to the crash.

When you use the TagRanger® App you have the option to set up an Account.  This is not mandatory and will not limit the performance of your TagRanger® system if you choose not to do so. If you choose to set up an Account this will allow your settings to be saved so that you can retrieve them in the event of losing your smartphone. Setting up an account also streamlines the process of dowloading new firmware and GPS Almanac files.

We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide you with an Account service. When you set up an Account your data is held securely on AWS servers and will not be shared with third parties by Icoteq unless we are legally obliged to do so. Your AWS account will store your email address and details of the setup of  your TagRanger® system, including the settings of your Tag and Finder devices. Your Account password is not visible to Icoteq or AWS.

You may choose to delete your AWS Account at any time by contacting us via this link on our website  https://www.tagranger.com/deletemyaccount.

16  Your legal rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal data. You may contact us to exercise any of the following rights:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction of your personal data
  • Request erasure of your personal data
  • Object to processing of your personal data
  • Request restriction of processing your personal data
  • Request transfer of your personal data
  • Right to withdraw consent

16.1  Fees

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

16.2  What we may need from you

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

16.3  Time limit to respond

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
