Description
The Relay connects to your Smartphone running the TagRanger® App using it’s Bluetooth connection. Once the Relay announces its presence to the remote Finder, a relaying link is established between the Finder and Relay. This allows all Tag communications to be relayed to and from the App for visual mapping, warnings, control.
The relaying link supports all features required to perform a ‘Find’ with a Tag (i.e., Locate and Range) but does not yet support Data Download or Hybrid Ranging. Additionally, to conserve air LoRaWAN® airtime usage, the relaying link only receives UWB ranging updates every 30 seconds although this period can be configured by the user.
Refer to the Feature Set page for the full extent of the Relay Controller capabilities.
The internal battery can be recharged using a microUSB cable and there is a multifunction LED to indicate operating modes. The LED can be disabled by the user through the configuration settings if not required.
Power is controlled by holding a magnet (supplied) against the Relay between the USB connector and the LED.
